 El Paso’s Playhouse offers live performance
during the year. Favorite Musicals and Broadway hits
are delivered with style by the Music Theater El
Paso. Another local favorite is the 6th
annual Shakespeare-on-the-Rocks performances
in September. This theater group from the El Paso
Association of Performing Arts puts on 4 plays
during its 4 week run. This year’s rotation of plays
is Romeo and Juliet, Taming of the Shrew, Midsummer
Night’s Dream and Julius Cesar. The Festival is on
Thursday through Sunday night in September. Shows
begin at 8 pm and on Friday and Saturday and dinner
is served before the shows.
